Coating done 8 months ago, here's my honest review for anyone on the fence
-
I know there's about fifty threads asking whether ceramic coating is worth it so I figured I'd actually share how mine has held up instead of speculating. Got my Land Cruiser done last December at a trusted paint protection and ceramic coating workshop in Abu Dhabi after months of going back and forth, mainly because I was tired of the paint looking dull after every wash. Eight months in and honestly the biggest change is how easy it is to clean, dust and sand just sheet off with a pressure wash and I barely touch it with a mitt anymore. Water beading is still there though not as crazy as the first month, and I've picked up one or two light scratches from the car wash guys which the coating didn't stop, so manage your expectations on that front. What it did protect against is the sun fading and those faint water spots I used to get on the roof. The one thing I'd say is preparation matters way more than the brand, the shop spent a full day just correcting the paint before applying anything and I think that's why it looks the way it does. Happy to answer questions if anyone's deciding.
